The Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana’s annual Contractor
Safety Performance Awards Banquet took place on Thursday, July 13th, 2023, at the West-Cal Arena and
Events Center. This celebration recognizes the industry’s dedication to cultivating and achieving a strong
safety culture among contractors and the industry they support.

The Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana (SCSWLA) is pleased to announce plans for the
construction of a new facility in Sulphur, Louisiana. The facility will be located on their current property but will
front to N. Cities Service Highway. It will be accessible from both N. Cities Service Highway and E. Napoleon
Street.

The safety Council of Southwest Louisiana (SCSWLA) is pleased to announce two promotions
among their executive team for 2023. The Board of Directors has named Sarita Scheufens President and Chief
Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2023.
